Now, if it happened in Cardiff....
I can't read your link, Svejk. An advert which I can't get rid of keeps popping up over the whole page. Any chance of a short synopsis?
I wish all posters who provide a link would back it up with a synopsis.

Iranian Mohammed Akhlaghi racially abused Hull parking warden by calling him 'English'

A MAN attacked and racially abused a parking warden after being given a ticket.

Mohammed Akhlaghi used the word "English" and swore at the warden during an exchange on August 6 last year, as well as pushing him in the back.

...
General impression is that someone who got a parking ticket and abused the warden tried unsuccessfully to play the race card. "You ticketed me because I'm Iranian", type of thing.
Is the warden suing because the man called him 'English" (can't see anything wrong with that personally), or because the man pushed him in the back?

An Iranian gimmegrant, who's been here 7 jobless years but still can't speak English, got a parking ticket. (yeah, I don't know how he can afford a car or get a licence)
Anyhoo, he pushed the traffic warden down and got done for assault.
But the crux of the story is; He called the warden 'English' so they called it racially aggravated assault. Lol.
Pathetic!
What a load of rubbish.
My mistake, I took the bit where he had been the victim of racial abuse himself, too seriously. That and I found it difficult to believe that the attack was racially motivated rather than angry at getting a ticket.

Mind you, when some words used to describe foreign nationals are considered racist by some when they need not be anything of the sort: it was only a matter of time when the same nonsense would be aimed the other way around.
I do wish people would stop being so 'precious' about everything and just get over it. They end up meeting themselves coming back!

Ah, but what if the warden was a taff, naomi?
Well, that would be different, of course. Shock horror!! That would have scarred him for life! Compensation time.
Just another lying piece of k r a p thats managed to pull the wool over the eyes of the judiciary....

how did he pass his driving test with his "limited" English and all thats involved ?

taken for mugs yet again...
Ridiculous. I understand why it's ok to call someone an Aussie or a Yank, but not call a Pakistani the p-word. Calling someone English is not racist or abusive.
He had pled guilty, what are you on about?
"He had pled guilty, what are you on about ? "

he has limited English and though that meant innocent...

How did he pull the wool over the judiciary?
I have been dealing with an official by email and last week had cause to speak to him on the phone. I assumed he was English until I heard his voice and my first comment was "Ah, you are Scottish."
I shall pack my toothbrush and wait for a visit from Plod.
That s an awful website in the link. Unusable.
