What's even more worrying is......some people believe it and then post about it! Sheesh.....unbelie......oh hang on.
On a personal level - all the French people we know and have known, want us to stay, because we get on very well and they believe we share aims. We do in many ways, but not in the sovereignty one and a couple of others. They, and we, feel that we are family. This may not be the result in a national poll, however.
