Not really that surprising. I think that the words Fraud and Scam originated in Nigeria. Nigeria are certainly scamming the British Tax Payer through our government.

I’ve been to Africa (though not Nigeria) a few times. Just about every one of the inhabitants I encountered was on the take. From the hotel porter offering to upgrade my room, through a painter and decorator who offered to rent me an apartment he was decorating up to the police whom I had to pay to overlook my speeding transgression (which I had not committed).

I’m not too fussed about that. What I am fussed about is the UK government’s insistence that these countries need financial aid from the UK taxpayers by means of borrowed money. It’s an absolute scandal.

Yes and the Government says giving the much needed Meningitis B vaccine to all UK children is not cost effective.

I've only been to Africa once, in two weeks I encountered muggers, bandits and openly corrupt police. In Europe never in over 70 years.
