Sounds like a confused teenager. What I don't understand is if she was so anti her family, why didn't she stay in Egypt ? What's she back here for ?
It would appear that this girl obtained a second passport under a pretence.
If her parents kept her under survelliance once she had returned then,in this case, I reckon the parents did their best to keep her away from extremism and this hideous religion.
Perhaps she should be taken to a secure institution and be de Islamified or whatever the word I seek. She has been severely brainwashed I believe and this idiot of a judge has no one's best interest at heart.
Of course. If she is so smart at 16 and worthy of a flat she could be packed off back to Pakistan and live ina more religious environment.!!!

Apparently she changed her mind.

I'm not a parent, so I don't know what it's like to feel responsible for another human being, but I honestly think at this point, the family would be within their rights to say, "Your bed...you lie in it."

And no - Enfield Council should not be under an obligation to house her.

She's not vulnerable.

She's a dumbass.

I don't really understand why this case is in court? What is the objective? The girl is 18 now and can live where she pleases.
More likely in News though.
Just give her a one way ticket out of here.

Hi AOG - I removed the posts which were off-topic moaning about post removal.

Maybe you'd like me to reinstate the one that called you a rude word, and all the others about something other than the topic you have presented... ?

Or you could get on talking about the subject instead, which I assume you have an opinion on?
Perhaps the first post to be removed should have stayed?
It would certainly have allowed AOG to exercise his outrage at being insulted, blahdy, blahdy, blah.

I'm not sure quite what the case was all about, nor why it should appear now so long after the fact....
But based on what *has* been reported, No she shouldn't be given a flat on those facts.
Maybe they did nothing because a 16 year old, with such views, would never be able to earn enough to sustain a tenancy and her own costs so she would have been an unreasonable drain on the council.
I can see no criterior why any 16 year old should be provided with a flat by the council and certainly not one on religious or ideological grounds.
What was she supposed to live on?

Question Author
Surely giving her a place of her own would only encourage her to expand her radicalised beliefs?

Since she cannot be forced to live with her more none radical parents, then perhaps in the circumstances she should be retained under supervision in a secure unit?
She's 18 and can live where she likes. A young person can leave home at 16 without the parents' consent and may be entitled to help with housing and financial support.
