What I don't understand is why when assessing someone's ability or disability do they not liaise with the persons GP? A form geared to getting the 'right' result and an interview with someone that doesn't even work in that field is not a fair assessment.
To me it is very Monty Pythonesque, which I normally would laugh at the absurdity of it all, but can't. Why do the tories always become the nasty party?
Sorry, but cut the top rate of tax and the Government take goes up.....ditto the corporation tax I bet....especially if they tighten up the loopholes.
Number 1 for me would be to switch rates into a sales tax - no avoidance of that - and a tax for green development as to new land for retail or commerical being used - encourage grey land already there in our towns.
Well, I am sure that Osborne will think of something, and very soon, because his whole Budget is in disarray. He faces defeat in the Commons...tomorrow I think.
Direct taxation is the only equitable moral taxation. To tax the same money yet again on spending is an anathema to any fair minded individual. Done properly I suspect the idea that a lower rate brings in more tax would prove to be untrue.
