...to which the right wing press will stoop to attack the BBC?

http://www.express.co.uk/showbiz/tv-radio/657704/BBC-snub-Ronnie-Corbett-dead-dies-refusing-shows-Two-Ronnies

So, there was a repeat of the Two Ronnie Sketchbook, a special on the One Show on the day of his death, and then a repeat of a documentary about him.

I would love to see some more, perhaps even a one-off repeat of his solo show, 'Sorry' - but I don't see how the BBC have 'snubbed' Mr Corbett.

What do you think?

I don't think he was snubbed at all - The One Show and the Many faces of were well timed and a nice tribute.

I too loved 'Sorry'.
BBC 4 have been showing repeats of Sorry, up to about a fortnight ago.
The Daily Express is owned by Richard Desmond, who owned Channel 5.
How much work did Channel give to Corbett while he was alive? - None.

The BBC WILL devote some repeat programming to Corbett, probably on a future bank holiday on BBC4. The fact that they are not revealing their future schedules to Dirty Desmond does not mean there are no plans.
Language, Timothy !
don't believe not showing The 2 Ronnies is a deliberate snub per-se, but would mean the BBC de-scheduling some of its usual fare of cookery, housebuying and antique shows, not to mention toe-curlingly *** saturday evening gameshows.
Amazing how far some will stoop to attack certain newspapers.

This has got nothing to do with the Express being part of the Right-Wing press.

This is just a legitimate criticism made against our 'National Broadcaster' for failing to repeat certain series, starring the late great Ronnie Corbett.

Does every critic of the BBC, have to be accused of holding certain political views?
Looks like you've got some prey in your trap sp. :-)

If they are any prey in sp's trap, it is not long before the hyenas come sniffing around.
The fact that the Blue Peter advent thingy made from coathangers and tinsel then adorned with four candles hasn't been resurrected and shown spinning gently between programmes is a complete disgrace too.
Typical lefty po-faced disrespect.
Something about lentil munchers and sandals.

BTW I have a molehill available for anyone looking for a mountain starter kit.
Free to a good yurt.
Personally I don’t want to watch anymore reruns on TV a tribute fine but to be honest I got a bit fed up of Four Candles over and over and over again on TV Radio and Forums
PS: UK Gold has a Two Ronnies marathon running till 11:00 tonight.

SP...its just the ruddy Express....its not as if it was an important newspaper is it ?......after all...who take the Express seriously ?
I note that ITV3 are re-running Rising Damp. Such a shame that Richard Beckinsale died so young. I remember him in The Lovers.
