Let's be honest here Angela Merkel's only crime is one of Christian compassion she thought she was doing the right thing. I'm afraid it all got rather out of hand & now it cannot be undone & will take quite a lot of sorting out.

I don't know what changed her mind but I am not convinced it is her compassion.
