But in all honesty, those public servants who failed to do their jobs ought to be sharing that sentence amongst themselves. Her mother (a total contradiction in terms) deserves a bullet to the back of the head and a shallow, unmarked grave, noting less.

No doubt there'll be a few Lord Longfor's who'll eulogise otherwise......

No doubt will be reduced on appeal by tax payer scum lawyer. This woman is a prime case for the death penalty, even with the min 24 years she will still be young when she gets out and enjoy a life she viciously denied the toddler. Evil, sheer evil. And yes, heads should roll in the SS, but they wont - and if they do they will get a hefty payout like that other awful SS...

Ayeeshia, nothing and Longford. Apologies for the typos, crap tablet keyboard!

Indeed gness.
And it's a minimum so she might spend longer in jail.

I hope she spends at least the next 24 years looking over her shoulder and never being able to relax.

Where was the father?
He got 3 years 8 months for aiding.
That was the mothers boyfriend. Not the biological father.
Oh, I see. My mistake.
//Ayeeshia's father, Ricky Booth, said he had "made calls to social services several weeks before AJ died warning them that she was at "serious risk".//
Then he should have took her.
We don't know the full circumstances though. For all we know the biological father may have had a court order against him!
If she had custody and he took her then the SS and Plod would have been straight round to feel his collar and bang him up.

Fathers have no rights in the UK.
Why would he feel his collar?
Fathers do have rights and SS were involved in this case.
Perhaps taking a close look at the care of kids with dodgy names would be a good idea.
Ive no doubt that we will be told "lessons have be learnt"

Dave.
Lessons to be learned, they say this every time it happens
But each time they learn the wrong lessons.
no where near enough, double it! Some leach of a brief will no doubt get her out in 10 after an appeal using public money. Should be strung up and done with, useless evil savage.
the problem is that they hire a load of lentil crunchers out of the guardian for social services who are clueless about the low lives they have to look after. Some micky mouse degree in "sociology" and wallop they are looking after families who spend all their money on bob hope and sherbet and the kids get crust of stale bread once a fortnight, they should not even have children living with them. They should pay proper wages and get people like me to be a social worker, I'd sort it.
