I sort of noticed him (couldn't name a song), but he was another who is terribly young to have died. RIP. Not a good year so far for actors and entertainers.
Do they? I don't know anyone who has cried at the death of Prince, Bowie. Wogan, Corbett,- but I suppose someone who grew up at the same time and was influenced by them and followed them closely throughout their life might shed a tear as they realise things will never be quite the same again for them and maybe it's their turn next

Yes but surely unless one has personal contact with them, they will in a way never die, seeing that one can listen to their voice on CD or see them preform on DVD etc.
I'm glad we're all in agreement. I think there is an other category- some who are obsessed.
And it needn't be someone famous. I think at some stage nearly allof us have shed a tear at something in a fiim (though it's not real) or on the news (eg when those two young girls' bodies were found in Soham)
I can't help getting a bit weepy during awards ceremonies when they show pictures of people in their industry who have died that year, even though I didn't know them.
I do that too cloverjo but I think that's very much driven by the accompanying music played as the pics pop up. I probably wouldn't well up if it was done in silence.
Never knew his music. Not someone I will be crying in my beer for tonight. Looked a bit freakish from what I saw on the news.Wonder what the cause of death was for someone relatively young.
