Its interesting that a prominent member of the Leave campaign should be asking for this to happen.
What do we think about this ?
I personally think that she should be allowed to come over and speak, for the same reason that I thought it was a good idea that the odious Nick Griffin was allowed onto Question Time.
She should not be banned if the reason given is that she is campaigning for a Brexit. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. I would suspect that she will change no ones vote. Those who agree withhe French National Front leader will already be allied to the leave camp.
AOG...but you still haven't explained how I "shot myself in the foot"
By the way, I didn't put "odious Nick Griffin" into capital letters, but I see that you did.... can I take it that you don't agree that Griffin is odious ?
Didn't know that he has committed anything serious enough to be called odious, I generally reserve such names for those likely to kill on a vast scale.
Noticed though that you did not comment on the true odious Muslim pair, in my earlier two subject thread.
But it is interesting to note that you collected the 'odious' word from it, so as to add a new word to your bag of insulting words that you carry around with you.
///I reckon he wanted to see if there was any hypocrisy from those saying Obama should not have interfered, and whether they were welcoming Le Pen.///
Given this, from the Link, I wouldn't think so, although to fair he probably hasn't read it.
///Ms Le Pen has said she intends to speak in favour of Britain leaving the EU and wants France, like the UK, to hold a referendum on leaving.///
it looks as though exactly one person has called for Le Pen to be barred. There's probably not much of a controversy to be made over this either way. (But I think she should be allowed in as Obama was, and I think they're both entitled to have their say.)
Mikey we Brexiters don't really need her. Now the remain, closet commies and scaremongers are desperate for something else to howl at. So Stay there love frighten the Frogs, we can manage these half baked lies all day long. Count your toes mikey ( you should have 10)
I think she should be allowed to come - she is a member of an EU member state is she not? Personally, I came across the Front National views when I lived in France and find most of them abhorrent. By the way, one region which elected a FN representative has found that there are now rules on when and where you out washing - I hold no brief for them.
Marine is trying to soften the image, but I (as a Brexiter) do not want her to speak on my behalf. Nevertheless, in the interests of free speech, she is welcome - as is Trump and unspellable Arabic speakers - just as long as utterances are in public and exposed to debate.
