The difficulty in the EU is that it matters very little who achieves power. The EU has a habit of overturning any government or plebiscite decisions with which it does not agree. Voters and national governments are a nuisance to the EU and must be brushed aside.
So the Austrian vote matters very little because if its government – Right, Left or Centre - attempts to do anything that does not accord with the EU’s wishes and aspirations it will be prevented from doing so. That is why the UK should vote to leave. Not because of the fear of where uncontrolled immigration (or anything else) may drive voters but because it will eventually mean that voters have nowhere to go.
