The problem is eye witnesses are notoriously unreliable. He may have been shouting in a foreign language but it may not have been anything religious. In other words may just be a nutter, either home grown or an immigrant. Like I say, too early to say at present.

The huns have never been able to keep their hands to themselves .....
look at the first world war !
heard it on news 5 minutes ago, allready knew who was behind this even before the news clip was over.

again......more cultural enrichment, coming to a town near you soon.
Probably no more dangerous than everywhere else where violently dangerous lunatics are permitted to reach and attack others.
What can you say? expect more of these incidents.
yeah well done OG one swallow doesnt make a summer
I have been trying to find out about knife crime on British Rail and can only get this
https://www.sundaypost.com/news/scottish-news/railway-crime-safe-feel/

which shows 500 sexual assaults a year - god the Brits are a randy lot - but knife crime seems to command less attention
Bit too early still to know the real reason, mind you German Police now have form on covering it up if the reason is not PC enough.

PP...are you for real?
It's all a bit of a mystery to the BBC. Some chap allegedly shouting 'Arabic phrases'. What on earth can that be about?
(sarc, in case there's any doubt and people feel the need to explain)

Reports are saying one dead.

A couple of years ago I would be quite happy to go to Cologne or Düsseldorf and drink far too much beer than was good for me, well not any more.
I'm no shrinking violet but now I dare not drink too much as I feel that when in and around the said stations I need to have my wits about me.
I think that's the same any where now Talbot, we live in a dangerous Era.
'allahu akbar' ? Where've we heard that before?
// PP...are you for real //

yup umm c'est moi

Imagine my dilemma as I lie in bed waiting to die or something
Up pops an unexpected item never seen on AB before
Random attack in Germany - taken out of context - the usual ( yawn ) 'argument' to wit:

one muslim is bad therefore all muslims are bad and the conclusion is we will die in our beds.... again

and so completely off the wall again I tried to find the amount of knife crime in the UK rail system - by Using The Internet.
Following OG's point I thought this might be Relevant -that is knife crime in the UK compared to knife crime in Germany and we might find No Difference or even more in England

the only thing I could find was the Sunday post article - 50 000 assaults of various kinds and quite a lot about sex - did you er read the article ?

and I think in conclusion OG has a point
the German attack is taken out of context .....

I felt quite safe in York station on Sunday, TW.

Quite possibly a home-grown nutter, YMB, but as I have said before Germany at the present does not feel like the Germany of a few years ago.
Tell the relatives of the dead about your context. They're sure to be fascinated.
// but now I dare not drink too much as I feel that when in and around the said stations I need to have my wits about me. //

same around central manchester ATMs apparently

it is not a crime wave but people's response to isolated reports of crime salaciously described and with a preconceived slant ....
anyway where is your dunkirk spirit ?
Question Author
I have got into the habit of ignoring your posts PP ... But

the German attack is taken out of context .....

Who has taken it out of context?
and how can you possibly know that at this stage?

Question Author
Reported to be a German national.
Bit dangerous having 'news blackouts', presumably, for political reasons, imo. Could be putting other people in danger.
How can you say " Taken out of context PP, when it cost's one person their life?
