If there is truth in the allegation it saddens me that a popular man who has been perceived pretty much as squeaky clean by the public over very many years has let himself down. If it transpires that the allegation is false, sad that his reputation has been cruelly and spitefully tarnished.

It doesn't matter how popular this singer is, or how many grannies he still gives please to. Its "sadness" is of no consequence whatsoever.

Richards should have no immunity, no matter how much of a national treasure he is, or thinks he is.

If there is enough evidence, of sufficient veracity, and the CPS can make a decision that a successful prosecution is likely, and in the public interest, then the case should proceed.

It has been suggested on anther thread here in AB, that he "deserves his day in court".....what utter rot...its his victim, if indeed there is one, that deserves to be heard.
