jno, there is no proof that it will cost a penny more.
In reality short term maybe a small blip, long term the holday would most likely cost less.
All this scaremongering is the same as for the ERM and the Euro. When we left the ERM we blossomed, when we didnt join the Euro they all regretted it and we have continues to be able to control our own destinly.

Marsh, it mnay surprise you but many people holiday outside the EU.
Oddly they dont seem to have much of a problem, and how many cards charge differently for the EURo as say the Dollar?
//Even using basic interest rates mean prices are going up year by year? //
Maybe, but what has that got to do with being in or out of the Euro. Dave is saying these prices will rise because we leave not becuase of inflation. Although I'm sure at some point, if he hasnt already he will say leaving the EU will give us hyper inflation, which will cause all cute puppies to die and the sky to come pounding down.

The difficulty for both sides of the campaign is the complete inability to have the faintest idea what will actually happen after the result.
That means speculation - and the only way the country will believe either side is if their speculation sounds vaguely credible.
This is where the 'In' campaign have seriously misjudged things - because their ludicrous scare-mongering is either being factually exposed, or simply pointed out as the ravings of idiots.
You don't need to prove that your opponents are wrong - you just need to make it clear that they probably are - that is enough.

//..Seriously...is there any point to these threads now? I'm sure that everyone who was on the fence is now firmly off it,..//
I don't see how you can make that contention sp
There are people here in my office , at this moment in time, who have not decided either way .
I just asked one lady , who responded to me by saying , she does not feel informed enough to make a decision .
I'm sure that feeling is not unique , to my office here , but rather is replicated throughout the country

Have to agree with Baz. Myself and many of those i speak to on a regular basis have yet to decide one way or the other. And the reason for that is the inability of anyone to give us a straight answer as to what may or may not happen should we stay or remain, without becoming all swivel-eyed and vein-popping. The truth is, of course, that no-one actually KNOWS what WILL happen, yet many think they do.
