It's the system.
I find as one ages one gets more and more disillusioned at the authorities.
I believe the Canadian family in Scotland cannot meet the criteria of the visa that they initially applied for.

As for the Albanian he is fighting extradition and the only witness to his 'crime' is a wife that smuggled him into the UK in the first place - hardly trustworthy is she. Is this right - not for me to decide. However two different scenarios with two different criteria.
This country is broken I'm afraid, it is stories like this that makes you sit up and say 'what on earth is going on'! It seems that if you do everything by the book you get punished, red tape, red tape, red tape, where has common sense gone?
Islay, true, its not for you to decide, but which of these families would you like as neighbours?
Can't the Canadian family etc also claim some sort of yuman rites exemption? Or are they only for criminal scum?
I wasnt aware that Albania was a place of risk.
There is also a section of the civil service who think we should accept the whole world here so they go around finding cases that technically qualify for expulsion, but really a bit of common could be used, so they can have a na na nana na moment by hurting some honest hard working family but letting off one of their mates in the criminal fraternity.
