I have every sympathy for anyone suffering with mental illness, however since the cutbacks by all governments closing mental institutions there are too many of these people on the loose in society & I think it is time to re examine the situation & all authorities be made responsible for the mentally ill patients who are unfortunately not getting the proper treatment they require & as a consequence the general public everywhere are at greater risk.

You're right Ron , often people with mental health issues slip through and don't get the help they deserve and as you say protect others.

Seems it's not just here in the UK but a much wider problem.

I can vouch for that mamya - until violence or extremism is used in France, same as here, not a lot happens except for pills - which may cease to work or not be taken.

2 violent attacks by 2 mentally-ill people. This needs to be taken far more seriously. I saw a sickening headline in the Star today, to the effect that 'Brexiteer kills M.P.' (can't remember exact wording). This is wrong, it lack of funding for mental health which is to blame and the lamentable failure of the 'Care in the Community' approach - in both countries that I know.

Your attitude towards the Eutimes seems to be exactly the same as your attitude towards the Daily Mail, just because you don't like the messenger what he says must be rubbish.

Perhaps you would do well to read other publications apart from your left leaning ones, so as to get a more wider view of what is really happening these days?
