Corby correct - and look at their northerly neighbours too....Canada. 3.2% Muslim and deaths per 100,000 people 5.1x the level of the USA, gun ownership in Canada 31 per 100 people whereas the USA is 88.8

corby, strange how most of the gun related deaths in France are suicides yet most of the gun related deaths in the US are murders.

In October 2015 in America, it was reported that in the previous decade, 280,024 had been killed by guns and twenty-four by terrorists. Still think racial profiling of Muslims makes sense and more gun-control is a distraction?

This is a great idea, if only to find a possible weakness in the Hebridean gene pool that led to the birth of what can only be described as an evil mutant with the mind of a petulant, bullying child.

THECORBYLOON, I didn't say more gun control is a distraction - but it's clear it wouldn't prevent terrorist related incidents. It might make it more difficult for some of the perpetrators, but not impossible. Whatever the gun laws people intent on acquiring weapons for criminal purposes acquire them - and they don't apply for licences.

The numbers killed by guns in America is equivalent to an atrocity of 9/11 proportions every thirty-nine days. If Muslims and not guns are the problem, why are there not more mass murders in this country since they have only about 500,000 more Muslims than we do in a much smaller countty?
