Oh I do hate snidey little remarks..... No question needed....just passing on something we may be interested to hear. He deserves some recognition, I think...many wouldn't do as he did and isn't it a wee bit uncanny that he and Jo share a birthday.......x
Let's hope he makes a full recovery and is not left with any mental scars from not being able to save poor Jo.
A brave man who deserves to be called a hero. I wish the the world was full of Bernard Kennys

A very, very brave man to go up against an armed man who was so much younger than him. No question about that and my first thought was that he deserves an award to recognise his courage and action, but I'm not sure that a George Cross is appropriate. Isn't there an Elizabeth medal? Unsure about these things but have an idea that the George Cross is for military conspicuous gallantry.
George Cross can be presented to civilians for outstanding acts of Gallantry. Believe it comes with a small annual pension. Queens Commendation for brave conduct is slightly lesser award and is a small silver oak leaf similar to a Mention in Despatches.
Hope he gets recognition. To my shame a Senior police officer tried to dismiss have a go heroes as gung ho idiots and should leaventhe professionals to deal once a risk assessment is done 5 rs later!!!
At least Hogan- Howe appreciates public spirit and courage!!!
Nope.....two glasses of a Craft Argie Malbec, the assumption being to drink the enemy's product, but it is a nice wine (M&S)....and yes, I am just being sarky as to the Best Answer - may well change it to gness's, as she hit the mark about snidey comments.
