Quite so.

And in any case, judges cannot usually be removed because of decisions they make. It is one of the drawbacks of having an independent judiciary (but one which is well worth having). Adequate facilities exist for challenging judges' decisions by the appeal processes. If they are to be removed (presumably by somebody in government) because a decsion is unpopular then bank goes their independence.

I appreciate this does nothing to help Ellie Butler or her family by I would not have it any other way.
