I seem to recall that there has been reported incidences of this before, and that we debated it here on AB...a couple of years ago...can anyone remember ?

Its seems that these huntsmen are banged to right here....why would South Herefordshire Hunt kennels have fox cubs in the first place ?

There are certain of our politicians that would repeal the law in fox hunting if they could...perhaps people should bear that in mind next time go to vote ?

At the hunt I used to belong to in my younger days there were members from across the political divide Mikey.

When people vote they tend to worry more whether the Government has thrown them to the hounds.
The Fox Hunting Law will never be re-introduced, just like the Smoking Ban will never. Right wing politicians make noises on both legislation, but the public do not want to step back.

This sort of thing should have been found unacceptable generations ago. High time they modified the law to ensure cruelty could not become "entertainment" nor even hide the same activity by allowing folk to go through the motions.

It's not the party so much as the individual candidates who support this.
One lost seat is unlikely to cause a major party too much of an issue, but it could have a morally beneficial effect on parliament as a whole. One is supposed to be voting for a candidate not a party anyway.

I think it was an assumption based on the similarity of getting fun from animal cruelty. I suspect it is an exaggeration for most.

I have always despised the mealy-mouthed excuses used by the pro-hunting lobby to protest their 'sport'.

If they had the courage of their convictions, and admitted that they hunted foxes because they enjoy hunting, then that would dispel the nonsense about 'keeping the fox population down' which is arrant nonsense.

I could respect, if not agree, with someone who admitted the enjoyment of hunting, but their excuses to disguise their simple pleasure is hypocrisy of the highest order.

The legislation against hare coursing and otter hunting was opposed by the hunting lobby. That same hunting lobby would bring those two so-called sports back tomorrow if they could.

Dog fighting, badger baiting and cock fighting is already going on all over Britain at the moment, despite it being illegal. And now we have evidence that the hunts are behaving in the way shown in the link. Caught red-handed.

Why do all these "Country Sports" involve killing things ? I enjoy trips out to the country as often as I can, and I seem to manage without this lust for blood.

As Andy says, why don't these people just admit that they like killing things, rather than trying to pretend otherwise ?

I stated on here recently, can't remember which thread, that I still voted Conservative at the last election even though I disagreed with them on this issue. As I said at the time, I don't think I've ever agreed with every single policy of any party I've voted for and I doubt many people have. (except Mikey (as I said before)).

When we vote we should think first of IDS' cruelty, dragging disabled people from their wheelchairs into the ATOS Re-assessment programme.

Can I just point out that it was a Labour Government that introduced the Bill that outlawed hunting, not a Tory one. The Tories had many years to bring forth similar legislation but unaccountably failed to show any inclination to do so.
