If you are going to argue about stocks and shares, DTC, it is you who needs to keep up. You mentioned the FTSE. This is a measure of share values on the London Stock Exchange. This closed tonight, as it does every night (bar the days prior to some public holidays) at 5pm. (Up 76 points, at 6338, BTW)

Admittedly, odds-on mean the favourite is the punters' favourite, to the extent that bookies go into damage-limitation mode (or unfair trading practice, depending on your viewpoint).
