Interesting E U Petition
> We the undersigned call upon HM Government to implement a rule that if the remain or leave vote is less than 60% based a turnout less than 75% there should be another referendum.
Already got over 100,000 signatures, which means that it will be considered for Parliamentary debate.
Even though I voted Remain, I think this is a bad idea.

ELLIPSIS , yes I am in Corby and there is a flaw in the petition wording. If the turnout is 75% there could be a 50.1%/49.9% vote and there would be no need for another vote because the turnout threshold had been met even though only 37.58% of the electorate had voted for the winning option. The wording should be that 45% of the electorate has to vote for a change.

It would carry even more if it had been part of the rules of the referendum itself.
In fact you can't do it on turnout, since that would ensure a perpetual Remain victory. All they'd have to do is not vote and, as long as they had more than 25%, the result would be in their favour. Voting would have to be made mandatory.
So I don't see this getting anywhere.

It may be considered but almost certainly rejected. Many decent petitions are, let alone those bordering on the insane. Are they hoping folk will change their mind, or that there is a never ending number of referendums all close to the original result ?
Maybe it's a spoof. If so good on them for catching so many.

The leave voters were, in the main, more emotional since they perceived our country was being given up to a foreign block of appointed elites to dictate to us all what we must do, without any real care for the citizens of the country or the country itself. Just so long as they controlled Europe. It is hardly surprising the leave voters were aggressive in trying to stop that betrayal.
Whereas the remain voters seemed to find no issue with that, couldn't understand what the fuss was about, apparently happy with that situation as long as no one rocked the boat and meant there were economic issues to deal with before we started to be better off. It must be much more difficult to get emotional about that and consequently aggressive. Anyway the fear rumours were supposed to be enough to affect the undecided, and it seems that was an error.

who came up with this one? Or is it based off the US Constitution?
Both sides, and in AB, have been aggressive - I've received it in spades as an Inner - start with the expression of being an ABT (traitor), that was disgraceful apart from other very personal attacks, esp from one person. I have given it out too, I know......
Anyway, it's over, we all have to move on in life and on here, so in my book that's the last of this vitriol over this. So to a new era.....looks like Corbyn may well be going, his ambivalence and lack of leadership having been a major factor.
