Daniel Hannan On Newsnight
Offering his vision for the future of the UK is reasonably balanced and pleasantly conciliatory tone. (Also a note to Evan Davies in the first video: Hannan is correct, and he personally has been consistent in this message about not expecting immigration levels to reduce).
But the vision he offers appears to include continued free movement of Labour, continued high immigration from the EU, continued membership of the Common Market with the rules it entails (but without political membership, ergo less ability to influence those rules at all), and as much of the status quo as possible.
Thoughts? Do people agree with Hannan's vision, or would they want something else?

That allows us to trade with EU countries without having to be an EU member. Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway do this. The only problem is, we have to pay a membership fee which will be determined as if we are EU members.
So we won't save anything (we might if fact pay more because our rebate will not be included) and we will have zero, no participation in crafting the rules or voting rights.

He's not saying anything because that creep's creep Davies won't let him get a word in edgeways.
What he's trying to say is we will still have immigration from Europe, which everyone knew anyway, not free movement of people, which is a very different kettle of fish, as you know.
Sometimes in life we don't get what we want. Unless you want to be a big overgrown baby all your life, just accept it and move on.

If it helps, Svejk, here's Daniel Hannan speaking when he isn't being interrupted.

Whether I'm twisting it or not, Do you agree with his vision as *he* expresses it? If not, why not?

Jackdaw/svejk,
That is precisely what Hannan is saying. It may have been too subtle for you, but joining the EEA is the plan.
