May Might Stand For Tory Leadership

I have just heard on the BBC Radio 4 news, that Teresa May is canvassing opinion as to standing for the Tory Leadership, and will announce her decision in a few days.

It was also said that Boris will definitely stand and that Gove will manage his campaign !

I'd rather like to know who's running the country at the moment - Dave is conspicuous by his absence. SOMEONE needs to get a grip fast - tomorrow morning is last chance.

Intellectually, I'd love Gove to stand - but he does not have the personality. He has the brains and can make the arguments, bit like Enoch, but couldn't unite the country.

May was keeping very quiet in the last few weeks and changed her image considerably - positioning herself. Her problem is that of her past and confrontational attitude - but we may need that when dealing with EU, so not ruling her out.

Boris is immensely popular, but a divisive figure. He's much cleverer than people think.

Originally, I ruled out May - but she is tough. I don't like her, but she may be the one.

Certainly the negotiating team on Europe should include Nigel. He has huge, in-depth knowledge of how the EU works and is the leader of the MEPs.
