We have debated this subject at great length recently, and I still can't see what the wearing of an uncomfortable and potentially damaging type of women's footwear make any women more attractive, nor do I see what makes the wearing of them essential to the job of being a airline hostess.

I think women everywhere should refuse to wear high heels if that is what they want.

I'll unbutton my blouse when I want to and reapply lipstick as and when I feel necessary and come near me with a can of hairspray uninvited and....well I have to have a think on my response to that.

1000s of women want to get taken on as BA cabin crew, competition and training is fierce with high failure rate. If you don't like the very well known and long-standing appearance (and height and weight) requirements then don't apply and don't whinge about it once you're in.

If you look at BA shoe rules it says heels NO HIGHER than 2 inches so not sure what this is all about anyway.

professional standards = appearance for both men and women.... Could you imagine turning up at Rothschilds having won 65 million on the lottery to be greeted by a woman in a mini-skirt that risks showing her panties or some guy dressed like a Chippendale - me thinks not. Just keep it conservative and to customer expectations (easily market researchable, as Mikey will tell you, chapter and verse).
