Question Time Was An Absolute Disgrace Tonight

An all time low for the BBC and that's saying something.
Dimbleby will surely be sacked. And with any luck, sued by Nigel Farage.

I was going to mention that, og. The audience may be thick and biased but the BBC know the questions that will be asked.
For them to allow that question about UKIP and the 350million was a further disgrace. It took the lefty comedian to point out that whatever the rights and wrongs of the 350million, it had nothing to do with Farage or UKIP.

Nigel Farage is one of those rank divisive figures who you either love or loathe. He behaves in a manner which makes it almost impossible even for the most determinedly neutral commentator NOT to take the ***.
Even UKIP's only MP cannot stand him. In those circumstances it seems a bit unfair to have a go at Lord Dimbleby. He's 97 you know :-)

He had a tattoo last year, silly old sod.
The BBC, Dimbledum and Carswell danced this dance before.
Referendum night, Carswell mumbled a few cliches that could have come from anyone on any side.
Dimbledum, forgetting his lines, went to move on.
"Um, um, weren't you going to ask me another question" asked Carswell hopefully.
Dimbledum looked confused.
"The poster" prompted Carswell.
Laura Whatsherface rescued the situation, "What did you think of the Farage poster?"
Which allowed Carswell to launch into his pre-scripted attack on Farage and UKIP in general. (with further prompts from Dum)

I suppose, on the bright side, more and more people are seeing right through the Blatantly Biased Corporation and flooding to join UKIP's ranks. (which will make them the opposition to the Tories in 2025.)

He may be, but as one gets older one needs to be checked as to whether one is capable of doing the job given. Most pass on responsibility to the younger generation by then and concentrate on personal interests instead. In his case control of the discussion is one thing needed, as is an unbiased attitude, not to mention avoiding what seems to be a personal attack on someone's integrity.

Melanie Phillips was brilliant and Russell Kane impressed me greatly. The labour mp whose name escapes me has her head in the clouds with Corbyn.

As for Dimbleby, he needs to go.

Maybe remain should have put Russel Kane forward for the argument pre- Brexit instead of Eddie Izzard. He was honest enough to admit most of his family had a problem with mass immigration.

I have QT on whilst letting the dog out, and generally putting the house to bed. I gave up in disgust and turned it off. Yes, Dimbleby should be sacked.

He has already announced that the Referendum would be his last big political event, so he is probably looking forward to retiring from the fray, sniping, being consulted and writing profitable memoirs. Be nice if he left under a cloud.
