Absolute joke ,that judge should not have been allowed to carry on in the case after the ridiculous conclusion she came to originally, he should have got the 15 years

Does he have to serve the full 6 years , or will he be let out on 'good behaviour ' or whatever the SA equivalent is - or for time spent in custody already ?

He can apply for parole after he has served half his sentence and don't forget he's already served one year.

To me, it appears she has given him the lightest possible sentence.

6 years doesn't sound like enough for what was always going to be murder, despite the legal farce of the last few years. From the BBC link above :::

This was only one year longer than he'd got for the lighter sentence. Under those circumstances six years feels far too short.

In my opinion, no..... it is not fair at all especially as folk have already mentioned he could be free in 2/3 years.....Shameful!......I have no doubt that he murdered his girlfriend brutally and should have been given a harsher sentence more fitting to taking her life away.....her family must be devastated.
