Yes, I saw this earlier this morning...ruddy disgraceful.
Soon to be in a town near you, or in some cases here already. It is called Sharia law and being allowed to perpetuate thanks to the right on Islington brigade.

Mrs. Lawrie used to have a wooden spoon in my first year at school. It was an object of awe - 2 boys, Carl and Stephen, were the only ones who ever got their palms slapped with it. Pain - minimal; shame - maximum. Sorry for the digression.

Years ago I saw biggish teenagers coming back from the mosque on Friday afternoon with their faces blotched with tears and one girls school was temporarily closed when reports of girls being forced to kneel all day at their desks and having their knuckles beaten with rods proved to be true. It is probably still going on in places in the UK.

I experienced the cane on hands several times. Worst was four strokes at one session. Plimsoll size 12 on bare backside. Cane on backside was the worst.
Side of ruler on knuckles, punch in head from music teacher. Chalk board eraser in face. Happy days.
I remember kids rolling round the floor in pain with 'Dunlop' in red marks across their backsides . The PE teacher used to keep a size 13 Dunlop running shoe specially for the purpose.
Kids today, don't know their born.....

I was beaten as a child as "punishment" for whatever misdemeanor I was supposed to have committed, and if my dad couldn't get a confession from one of us he'd beat all three, whether we did it or not.
You might think that's character building, I can tell you it's ruined my life.
