Sounds like Knowledge by Association Danny
I made a few friends among them Balders.I always used to marvel at the things they had to do in the heat of Malta.Especially just before they were due to go on an operation

I prefer not to give my opinion on something I have no knowledge of, unlike some on this thread.
And there endeth the debate.
Sorry Balders I misunderstood your post.I have now said all I am going to say on the subject ,except that, the members of 42 Commando who did not return from and operation must be turning in their graves.
Associates that fought in the Falklands and marched round Northern Ireland during the troubles ... why are you so dismissive of your former colleagues?

I have a picture of my father leading a patrol of Royal Marines (45 Commando). They were heading up the Troodos. They started in searing heat but were dressed and kitted out for the snow and near zero temperatures at the top of the mountains. It was a full days patrol with the water they carried.
And (personally) I think just entitling a thread "Another One" is incredibly rude and unfeeling, when the person who has died is someone's son/brotherhusband/father - not just "Another One"
