The International Monetary Fund had admitted that it's "officials" got it wrong because their pro EU bias affected their analyses. This is just weeks after they issued dire warnings about the dangers of Brexit.
Meanwhile the French economy grinds to a halt, The Office for National Statistics admits that the EU accounts for just 12% of the British economy, Britain has sold more goods outside the EU than it did within it for the last 4 years, and on and on on. The doom mongers blink as the lights come on. Just for good measure it transpires that 53% of Scots want to remain in the UK, after the Brexit vote, despite all the noise coming out of Scotland suggesting otherwise. You must decide if that is good news.
Good news indeed I always said it was too bad to be true, however lets not blow the trumpet too loud there is still a long way to go and we just don't know what's around the corner
// What was it you said to me. Oh yeah.....no links no proof.//
yeah -I have noticed a modern trend - if you say it yourself it may not be regarded as true
but if you can give an URL of some venusian alienist crazy who knows that the tavistock sq bombings were a CIA/Duke of Edinburgh conspiracy, it is immediately accepted as Gospel and irrefutably valid ....
Poor zm, a couple of days ago he was trying to defend the indefensible by presenting a sort of "many times on here you have ya ya ya". When asked to provide examples he reluctantly posted ab links that were manifestly the opposite of what he termed proof. Bless, and now he is unable to read the newspapers or the items on the interweb.
// even I as a rabid remainiac would draw the line at saying one effect of Brexit is that it wrecked the French economy .... //
No indeed, but it would not dissuade you from implying that someone else had, even though manifestly untrue, and only invented by yourself. Some tried however to point out that the French "economy was indeed a basket case well before the famous Brexit result. None of them were Remainiacs.
//It was more the '12% of the British economy' bit I was wanting proof of. //
But my fingers were too tired to type the question.
//The thread disappeared tho didn't it Togo. Strange that.//
Strange indeed. Hooked much to the dismay of some of us and no doubt the relief of others. I did however take the precaution of copying what was there before logging off. I do wish I had the concluding posts though. Still, there will probably be more opportunities to highlight reprehensible behaviour.
The figures quoted in the link @ 13:03 were first published 30.07.2016 and updated 31.07.2016 but were not in the October 2015 "pre-Brexit" Pink Book publication, as per the tenuous link "provided"
Takes Togo a while to reply danny, what with all that copying and archiving and stuff. Time which he could spend providing links to back up his out of date news and ridiculous French economic claims.
The link at 13.15 Danny not yours. Am busy out back in the garden. I only pop in to watch the odd gee gee race. Your links were spot on Danny but I did not post them because I was happy to let the snide post @ 12.37 slide by.
