...according to Nigel Farage, his party has attracted a lot of BNP voters.

Is this something to brag about?

"Sporting a newly-grown bushy moustache ..."

Sometimes you have to laugh (and thank God there is no photo)
"Mr Farage acknowledged his adoring audience with a raised had of salute ..."
(It doesn't actually say that, but ...)
One doesn't brag about it but one might state it as a fact. BNP have no chance of making any progress so it is hardly surprising that many look to the more respectable parties and support the one they feel is nearest their view. It's what a lot, probably the majority of folk do, when they vote; look for the party that most reflects their own views, no matter how far from them they are. Whilst it may be used to embarrass UKIP, at the end of the day, the party will pursue it's own aims not that of any sub-group who are giving them support: and a vote is a vote is a vote.
I don't think it is any surprise to think that people who have voted BNP might have voted UKIP. They were a general repository for the disaffected, and BNP voters were a pretty disaffected lot.
But now we have Britain First and the EDL, so Farage is talking nonsense.
I am not remotely surprised that former Members of the BNP joined UKIP.

I am just glad that their support came to nothing, just like it was when they were BNP members.
yeah only 4 million votes

and of course no bnp members would have joined the lie and bore circus party...do they still even exist ?

your middle name is deluded...no surprise there though...
Yes...Labour does still exist, with 9,347,304 votes and 232 MPs !

Remind me again..... how many UKIP Mps are there ?
1 ?
100% correct Anne !....still failing to "break the mold of British politics"

As there is a spectrum of political belief across the voters there must be overlaps between the composition of political parties. What better place for the BNP overlap than UKIP?
To be fair SP, I don't think for one moment Mr Farage was bragging, apart from when he said "I destroyed the British National Party..", he then went on to say, "I came along and said to their voters, if you're holding your nose and voting for this party as a protest, don't. Come and vote for me - I'm not against anybody,.."

(P.s, he has also destroyed the Labour party)

/// The former Ukip leader was accused of stooping to racist imagery during the referendum campaign with the infamous "Breaking Point" poster depicting streams of brown-skinned refugees fleeing to the EU.
A surge ///

Brown-skinned refugees????

Oh dear sorry about that, that is the trouble with being born in the middle east. But was the photographer who took that picture that went worldwide, also 'racist'?

At least he could have waited until there were some streams of white skinned refugees, would that have been more fitting for some?

Notice the source of sp's story.

Say no more.
Is the fact it's the Worksop Guardian meant to mean something to us?
Haven't made my mind up about the "New Bushy Moustache".....makes him look like a Great-Uncle of mine, who smoked a pipe and use to wear a trilby !
So did Basil Fawlty !
Oh dear Nigel Farage is now being criticised for daring to grow a moustache, perhaps it would have pleased some more if he had gone the whole hog and grown a long bushy beard to go with the moustache?

To blend in more with the increasingly growing communities you understand?
Anyway, what is the reference to the Worksop Guardian about?
takes the focus off Labour I suppose SP
