I hope he will but doubt it. Is this just wishful thinking on the part of a former colleague?

There have been similar reports in the past but then the family put out statements refuting these....

I hope that he is able to regain some semblance of a 'normal' life but fear this will never actually happen.
I doubt he'll be seen out and about again. It's not like he's been having a wee lie down these past three years.
Without his considerable wealth he'd have been dead by now.
I think it is wishful thinking. Very sad.
like Christopher Reeve who held on for a few years in agony then died no better that when he first had his injury. I think they should 'let him go'
That's different.
Reeve was paralysed from the neck down but always had full awareness and complete control over his mental faculties.

If Schumacher is in a coma but has precious little life-preserving equipment sustaining him then it is not possible to 'let him go' without actively killing him.
" Very little is known of the German's health after he sustained severe head injuries in a skiing accident in December 20"

JTH they should have asked you.....
What makes you think they didn't?
there is a "common knowledge" in medicine that after head injury, there is a window of 2 years - any improvement not made after 2 years, will never be made. Of course, like all common knowledge, it's not always, but generally true
I hope he does, he may have an opinion whether dressage is a sport.
Sandy....it certainly doesn't look good for Schumacher. Its been over 3 years since his tragic accident.
Dressage?
Mikey - his accident was in December 2013, so just coming up to three years.
