It wasn't so long ago that a risably low figure for inflation of 0.6% would have been next to impossible. And yet, is it really a fair measure of rising prices ?

Despite inflation only being 0.6%, rail fares are going to be allowed to rise by over three times that much.

It's a largely irrelevant figure.

Rail fares are another matter.
I agree with youngmafbog here...everything buy seems to be going up by way more than 0.6%.

However, if the rate of inflation for raw materials for the manufacturing industries is kept low...all the better.

I think what we (as consumers) probably won't enjoy that rate in terms of products and services.

SP...that is my point. Most of my bills have gone up by more than 0.6% in the last year.
