Phew, looks like we've gotta postpone the apocalypse for the naysayers and doom mongers. They can urinate on their mattresses a little longer yet....

The economic/business evidence is mixed- FTSE up, £ down, unemployment down, interest rates down, some companies showing good results, some showing a turndown (Primark today).
You missed a word out after sufferer's so I still can't work out what you're on about, CD.
The ONC do deal in statistics but so far there is only a few months' data, and as has been said , the picture from all these statistics is mixed (although nothing dramatic either way). danny means that as the process will take a long time- maybe 3-4 years- the movements in the markets and the economy may not become clear until the future shape of things is clearer.

Er......not sure which word or what you're alluding to. I was making a reference to the bedwetters who spat their dummies and live in constant denial of the Brexit and/or hate the fact that a democratic vote didn't go their way.

Yes, project fear worked both ways I recall. Those who predicted immediate doom were either lying/using deliberately exaggerated scare tactics or in some cases genuinely believed that catastrophe or at least a downturn would occur.
I think after all the result became clear most people welcomed it or accepted it and it soon became clear to business, the markets and voters, that not much would change after all (look how quiet Boris became). The doommongers failed to factor in that this would happen and that things would quickly get back pretty much to normal.
