Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian robbed at gunpoint in a Paris Hotel with reports of millions of pounds of jewellery stolen she was alone at the time, scary experience but wonder did she not have security with her especially with all that jewellery.

I would have thought she would look 'behind' her at all times.

I wonder what kind of exemplary life a person needs to live in order to deserve sympathy or empathy from others?
I don't care for kk,or her family...and she has a pretty tacky dress sense in my opinion. But my negative opinion does not stop me from being horrified by what she went through. I hope her property...whether personal or on loan...is recovered.

Read through this and must admit I am not pleased that anyone could be put through such an ordeal, whatever the precursors. I also feel that it must be an "inside" job aided by the security guard on duty. I also confess to having a snigger at mikey @ 15:51 and Ants pants @ 22:31 ( clever graphic Ans.)
I have to confess to not being a fan of Kim Kardashian and the whole culture of being famous for being famous but I do have some strong thoughts on this event and the ensuing discussions on AB.
For a start, how horrific a thing to have happened, to anybody! The reports aren't all that clear yet but there is every chance that her children were there and she has been reported in at least one news source of having begged them not to kill her for their sake. Would you ever want any of your loved ones to suffer that kind of degradation? I know I wouldn't.
Say what you like about Kanye West and I usually do, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised that he rushed to be with her. That's love, not advertising.
As for this thread, I'm saving it because I'm no longer shocked, but I am horrified at some of the attitudes and outright shoddy comments that have been posted. My moral compass is due a flip I think. Some of the posters here have genuinely surprised me and not for the good. You should be ashamed that you think a mother/wife/daughter getting robbed at gunpoint by people she thought she could trust is anything other than shocking and disgusting. Shame, shame and shame on you again!!

Quizpro - good post and points well made.
It brings to mind something my Mum once said to me 'Lynne, I'm not angry with you but I am disappointed in you' - it hurt more than anything else could have.
I prayed her disappointment would turn to anger, I could have coped with that.
That's how I feel about some of those who have posted today.

"West is among the most acclaimed musicians of the 21st century,[1][2][3] and is one of the best-selling artists of all time, having sold more than 32 million albums and 100 million digital downloads worldwide.[4][5] He has won a total of 21 Grammy Awards, making him one of the most awarded artists of all time and the most Grammy-awarded artist to have debuted in the 21st century.[6] Three of his albums have been included and ranked on Rolling Stone's 2012 update of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" list. Mamyalynne I'm beyond disappointed, I'm at a loss, especially for those who I thought I had a glimpse of a connection with idealogically. It turns out we have nothing in common at all.
If I was recognised as a part of this right now I'd be embarrassed so I'm grateful for the anonymity. Some others should also be grateful but for different reasons because as far as I am concerned this is one of the lowest threads I have encountered on AB in my time here.
I wish I was disappointed, I'm angry and annoyed. :(
