As for the chances of his family being allowed to visit - lololololol. Out of his 8 kids, 1 has a conviction for fraud, 1 has a conviction in Yemen for planning a bombing campaign, 1 has a conviction for violent disorder, 1 has a conviction for armed robbery and possession of an illegal firearm. I cant see any of them being let into the US!

youngmafbog - ////His family are innocent They are being penalised for his crimes//
So from what you are saying we should not incarcarate, fine or issue community service to anyone as their families will be penalized for the crime?
Jeeez, give me strength. //
I am delighted that you performed true to the correct procedure - before reading a post, misunderstanding it, replying to what you thought it said, while ignoring what it did say, you must preface your post with the word 'So ...'
The reason why I did not say that " ...we should not incarcarate, fine or issue community service to anyone as their families will be penalized for the crime?" is because that is not my view.
The point is not the punishment, with which the lawyer takes no issue (and neither to be clear, do I) - the point is the location of the punishment.
The lawyer is putting forward a view that Mr Hamza's family are suffering because they cannot visit him, and there is a humanitarian case for re-locating him to the UK, where his family could visit.
The incarceration of Mr Hamza, which is his just punishment, is not affected.

We know what the lawyer is saying.
// The incarceration of Mr Hamza, which is his just punishment, is not affected. //
It will be if he's moved to a 'softer' British prison. He'll certainly have an easier life.
