Why couldn't his superior officer 'have a word' get him to take the piccies off immediately and be done with it.

What a waste of resources.

I wonder if the response would be the same if he was on a homosexual swinging site? Would Plod be too afraid of 'ooman rights then?

Because abuse of the uniform, and status of a police officer are considered offences serious enough to be beyond 'having a word ...'.

The issue is contravening regulations regarding uniform - the website orientation is irrelevant.
'no-one at work knows.'

They do now.
He said it , he's been daft
It is slightly worrying that someone that stupid works for the police. He needs making an example of I'm afraid.

I would ponder whether anyone who is breathlessly naive enough to imagine that posting that message would not result in the circumstances that followed is actually fit to be a policeman at all!

I'd agree - but I'd edit out the slightly' and replace it with 'seriously'!
zacs-master/andy-hughes, I agree.
We can't have this - naomi agreeing with AH on something .

Will one of you please change your opinion
Bazile, haha! OK, I think he's wrong. Is that better? ;o)

Ah, but it is in the context I have put it. I am suggesting that the Police would get all PC (pun intended) about it and not start an investigation

Personally I think there are many other things far more serious done by some plod that should be investigated.
What a plonker!!
YMB, i think most people are ignoring your 'what if' scenario question as it's just open to too much conjecture.

'Personally I think there are many other things far more serious done by some plod that should be investigated.'

Care to give some examples?
Sitting in laybys , pointing cameras at motorists

Certainly - I'm wrong ... no hang on, Naomi is wrong ... no, wait a sec, I'm right and Naomi is right, no ... that won't work either ... just a minute ... I'm right, but I reserve the right to be wrong if Naomi can win an arm-wrestling contest ... no, that won't work ... hold on the red mist is descending ... (door softly closes on the old fool's babbling .... )
YMB - //Personally I think there are many other things far more serious done by some plod that should be investigated. //

There always are - but that is never a reason simply to pretend that rules being broken by people paid to uphold them is OK.
He is a policeman...a P.C.....not likely to be a Chief Constable, not in special branch, not an undercover agent ( I don't think), his ambitions are limited with little to offer.......EXCEPT :

Good looking bloke.
Probably well hung.
At least one good reference.
Has a uniform ( women like men in uniforms)

So....with those attributes, why not?

Hardly a big deal.

The first four words of you post indicate that actually, it is a big deal.

//What a plonker!!//

Have you been looking at the "pictures" Smow? (^_*)
He also set himself up to be bribed or blackmailed. If he hadn't worn the uniform or mentioned his occupation there would be no problem.
Lol Togo...... nooooooooo
