Its sometimes difficult to understand that the DM is the same newspaper that campaigned so successfully in the Stephen Lawrence affair, for which they were awarded such high praise.

I think sometimes papers sometimes chase their own stereotypes in order to sell copy. And they are in major competition with the Express, so they probably thought they should "out-Express" them, fearing the other lot might go with "Gay EU pervert Nazi judges in Madeline Princess Di cover-up shock horror"

In some cases it is important that we know what Judge's background are, so that their impartiality can be proven.
In this case I think they were anti-Brexit, so not really impartial, don't you think?
But their sexuality in this case is of no importance, but then could be regarding gay issues.
