Why have the BBC given so much coverage to the US election result. They've booted most of the afternoon's programmes forward or off, and devoted Two hours to it, this afternoon.

There is only so many "pundits" one can listen to.

All they are doing is hypothesising (sp) about what he might, do and what might, happen.
Wolfgang is correct. This is of major world importance and affects us all. Quite frightening in my opinion.
chrissa1 - because this is the biggest upset in electoral history.

It only happens once every four years, I am sure you can give up a few hours of regular TV while intelligent people ponder your future for you!

Talking of coverage - has anybody else noticed his hair has changed colour? Looked like he'd had a 'blue' rinse but perhaps that was just my TV.

people in the U.S. at our expense waffling on about what may or not happen.
The results are known, B.B.C. and AB are full over stuff we have no input in.

Do as I did and switch channels every time the US election came on.
I haven't seen/heard any Trump coverage....I don't have the need to have the television on all day, like many people do.

There's the BBC News Channel for this sort of coverage.
The BBC haven't covered previous US elections in quite so much depth so I assume it is obsessed with Donald Trump, why, I'm not too sure seeing as at this stage they can only speculate on what he will do.
