The UK is now like a rudderless ship , the Captain having neither charts nor compass, whilst its crew are jumping up and down on deck waving Union Jacks and singing Rule Britannia! will someone pleas send out a May - Day Distress call before the ship sinks.

Oh, I see. The Remainers want to carry on whinging. Ok.
If you want to call it 'whinging' then go right ahead, that doesn't bother me (it actually proves my comments are having some effect). Being told to shut up does rankle tho, so making my feelings known is something I will continue to do as long as i see fit.
For the ones who emphasise the wrong word in the phrase "Charm Offensive".

OK.
^That was to Zacs-Master.

Er, I will draw a veil on the obvious innuendo.
Brexit is an opportunity.

It might be the making of us.
Or the breaking of us.

Too earlyto tell.
It will remain a ship wreck in some eyes until the remainers stop p***ing around and let Bretix happen.

The longer they faff about trying their best to be *** the longer people will worry unnecessarily. This post being a point in case perhaps.

Nothing will sink, except respect for remainers who faff around. Things might wobble now and then. Things might go up and down now and then but it will carry on and even itself out in the end.

Don't mistake short term wobble for devastation to come.
"That would be as opposed to those humble men of the people, Johnson (Eton and Oxford, Multi-millionaire) Farage (Dulwich College, Commodity Broker, Multi-millionaire) and Murdoch (Australian-born American, multi-billionaire)..."

And me (superb direct-grant grammar school - probably the best-ever model of state-funded education (3 decent 'A' Levels) - ordinary working bloke, steam engine nut, comfortably off and wishing to remain that way).

I don't really want to spoil the light-heartedness of this question, but I will if I have to :-)
Just wait until the next raft of election results (if they allow them) in the other pyramid scheme participant's polls. It will make Brexit and Trump's win look prescient. The self appointed ruling elite really cannot, still, comprehend that they have been rumbled. They have got their heads somewhere, and I don't think it is in the sand.
dannyk13, 34.4 % voted for 'Brexit' the rest either voted 'Remain' or did not vote. Hardly a 'majority'! .
Not lost at sea, maybe in dry dock - things will settle.
Eddie, more voted for Brexit than remain and no matter how you look at it that is a majority.
I have no objection to the whining, I would have had a bit of a whine myself if we'd lost but I would not be running around desperately trying to find ways to ignore democratic will of the people. That's what I object to. Whine all you like remainers but accept it.
Your "figures" don't add up Eddie. You say that 34.4% voted Brexit. But 28.2% didn't vote. Sooo that means that 37.4% voted Remain. Statistics haha. Try these.

Leave won by 52% to 48%. The referendum turnout was 71.8%, with more than 30 million people voting.
The highest ever turnout in a UK election or referendum.
ahh eddie, still trying to spin that old semantic cobblers. in this country we only count the votes that are cast. Those that choose not to vote have 0 effect, geddit?
The remainiacs are LOVING all these delays aren't they ?? Made their day !
Make it 37.3% voted Brexit, 34,4% voted Remain and 28.3% not voting and you are getting close.
// My point exactly. Though I voted 'Remain' I now want this mess to be sorted asap so that we can get on with plans. The uncertainty is much worse than a clear decision one way or the other.// eddie

funny - this occurred during the Dreyfus affair - 1895-1900 in France
[ yeah yeah a hundred Abers automatically post or 'quip' comically again : " Dray-who den ? who dat den? " ]

the supporters divided into Dreyfusistes, Dreyfusards and Dreyfusiens
which was a spectrum from

Dreyfus is innocent - we want justice ( sorry joostees) no matter what
towards including the govt falling
towards
Dreyfus should be settled probably innocent but this is destabilising the Third Republic and it is about time it was settled
to the other end of the spectrum
Frack Dreyfus - let him out or not - the political chaos is such that the govt may fall and there is even MORE chaos - oo-la-la [officiel]

and zat may explain how the President de la Republique rang up Mme Dreyfus ( nobile probably) and said - madame, if the chaos goes on - the Rpublic itself may be in danger !
and she said o OK I wont make a fuss then
and as 3T might say .......... ( true)

see here

//Il ne faut pas confondre dreyfusards, dreyfusiens et dreyfusistes//
