Farage can have an opinion, but if he is wrong and his accusation is untruthful, then he is guilty of slander.

Not sure Saint Nige has read this one correctly. Mocking the widow of a woman gunned down by a right wing nutcase, is a step too far. It looks like he is trying to legitimise Jo Cox's murder and support the extremists. I have looked at Hope not Hate's website, and I cannot see any extremism. Perhaps Nige is still high from his brown nosing trip to the US.

No one else opened the floodgates and allowed all and sundry into a Europe practically devoid of borders – and it is time that politicians – and the people who support this utter madness – took responsibility for what is happening. Neil Coyle, one among the many Labour politicians who were swift to condemn, said of Nigel Farage, “His whole life is determined by hate, lies, racism, deceit and discrimination”.

But oh dear, Hope not Hate are bleating about being libelled. Farage was talking on the radio, so he may possibly be guilty of slander through the spoken word. Libel is the crime of writing a lie, not speaking it.
