pusillanimous in the extreme

You're doing your Joey Tribbiani impression again aren't you?
Question Author
Talbot - Yeah! .... No .... I don' know ..... I'm confused!!!!!
This post is sexist voyeurism and not at all 'ironic' shame on you...

You haven't been on this site very long, have you?
Andy - Irony, that's what you do with your shirtys?

Looking at the newspaper in print or online isn't voyeurism, playing the video's might be though

///in keeping with your long and acrimonious responses to just about anything I post.....///
Rubbish!
I ignore you most of the time, your egocentric posts tend to become tedious after being repeated for the Nth time in a single thread.
(You have the floor to yourself for a while now as I'm taking the dogs out, enjoy)
Question Author
Baldric - I am not mindful to get into a silly spat with you, and derail my own thread, so maybe you can extend ignoring me most of the time to all the time?

Start right now - that would be ideal.
AH . obviously your post has gone over the heads of DM readers..!!!!!!!.it happens :-)
In your own words, anne ... please explain how.
And this award goes to...............

Andy: You haven't been on this site very long, have you?

what has that got to do with having an opinion? A male posting in 'News' looking for pictures of a scantily clad female would sound a bit pervy on quite a few sites. Try posting that one on mumsnet!! LOL!
They eat you alive on Mumsnet - my daughter got banned!
I haven't a clue who Daisy Lowe is, and when I looked her up, I am still none the wiser.

Sorry Andy !

It has nothing to do with having an opinion - but everything to do with having an unfounded opinion.

First of all, a very warm welcome to the AB, I hope you stay a long time and enjoy the exchanges and debates we have on here.

Over the course of time, you will get to know the regulars, and their personalities, who they are, and what they are like as people.

And you will learn that I am seriously combative in debate, prone to verbosity on occasion, have an excellent sense of humour - and irony - and of compassion, and I am about as far from 'sexist' as you can get!

Looking forward to getting to know you, and you to getting to know me and us.

A.

Sadly it has.

I know that irony is difficult to convey in print, and I am of course happy to excuse rockyroad here, as a new person - but you'd think the regulars would know better by now!!

Never mind ...

mikey - //I haven't a clue who Daisy Lowe is, and when I looked her up, I am still none the wiser.

Sorry Andy ! //

Nothing to know really mikey - you're not missing anything!!
Andy...no, I didn't think I was !
yes I agree andy, there should be symbols available of 'irony alert'. One for vaingloriousness and presumption would be useful too. :-)
Well I'm happy......the queue won't be getting longer..... ;-)
Question Author
rocyroad - as you will know, if you are familiar with debate sites like this, or as you will learn, if you are not - misunderstanding is an occupational hazard of written communication.

As advised, most ironies are spotted from regulars to regulars, based on knowledge of personalities built up over time, but even the most screamingly obvious ones can get utterly lost in translation.

We usually get by with a little patient explanation - unless someone is simply deliberately missing the point in order to pick a fight,. then they get what's coming.
