bhg481 - //Divebuddy's post //Waleed Khan, 32, a friend of Mr Khan, said: “He was a nice man. He was a nice, humble, charitable, law-abiding guy and he used to give a lot to charity. He went shopping on the day his was shot for stuff for his newborn.” // reminds me of a former work colleague who was brought up within shouting distance of the Cray twins. His mother thought they were nice boys because "They were good to their mother"; I'm not sure everyone would agree. //
By definition, if you are the family of someone like this, he is still family, so you are naturally going to point out the best aspects of your relative.
Similarly - no-one has friends and tells the media 'He was my friend, but actually he was low-life scum ...' because people don't see their friends in that light.
With regard to the OP - if the police are not revealing info, it is usually because something is going on in terms of their investigations.
