Trump And The Truth
Trump estimated that the crowds at his inauguration were between 1,000,000 and 1,500,000 - in an area that holds a maximum of 720,000.

It is not about crowd numbers as such but the reporting of the numbers based upon photographs taken at the time. No-one cares about the colour of Trump's tie but if photos show it is red and his team insists it is blue and everyone else is a liar, questions would be asked.

There's a distinct similarity between politicians and journalists, they are similarly the world's greatest liars so trump and the yank media deserve each other, everything else is about spin the half truth to represent what each want to say. As to our media in the UK, our notoriously papers will troop out as much bile about Trump as is possible because it makes a nice wee change from them whining and whinging about losing the brexit vote.
The left, the Politically Correct masses who believe that the world is fine where there is no competition, we open ourselves to everyone and anyone, the ones who banned red pens because they demoralised people, the type who will reduce pass levels i exams as low as 25% so someone can get a pass, those that created the situation where a clown like Trump could win office have lost on something and they don't like it.
Trump the same as you or I or any journo or politician will tell the truth as we see it, we are ALL delusional when it comes to our own views.
Ummmmmmm - TTT is allowed to spout on about these things as much as Mikey or anyone else or do special rules apply when it doesn't follow your own views?

What a racist comment to make.
The BBC was forced to apologise over a similar comment made by Sarah Kennedy, about black people.

And only recently wasn't a comedian taken to task as being racist because he announced that he couldn't see a black person in the darkness of a theatre?

It's the Trump camp who are making a big deal of this. It's they who took to the stage at the CIA event yesterday, denouncing the media.
It's only right that we should be able to talk about it, as it's a big story. Had the Trump administration simply ignored it, it would have gained much less currency. They have the power to influence the narrative, and they have chosen to claim that this is a fake news story.
That in itself makes it a news story.
In a wider context, the story is about Trump's relationship with the press.
I think that makes this thread relevant.

It was not being side tracked as you incorrectly suggested, it was a perfectly legitimate reason for a greater crowd at one event compared to another, and isn't it crowd numbers that are under discussion?

Ok, maybe not a huge issue, but:
Didn't Trump's people post a picture of crowds at Obama's inauguration, claiming it was Friday, before it was pointed out and they replaced it.
And one of them later baldly stated that the crowds had been larger.
I just hope this fakery and lying will only extend to such childishness.
If only we could be sure...
