Do You Think It's Odd That Trump Has Stayed Silent On The Quebec City Terrorist Attack?
He was (very rightly) quick off the mark with the Louvre attack, but seems reluctant to publicly condemn the other terrorist attack of last week.
This seems strange - especially for a man who seems to spend a shockingly large amount of time posting his thoughts on Twitter.

You could always do what I do when I don't want to read a thread on AB.
I just go to the next thread.
Works all over the place...newspapers, blogs, tv programmes, films. You name it, it works.
Just the other day, I was ignoring the whole of the Sports subsection on AB, because I have no interest in sport.
Next week, I'll probably ignore the Home & Garden section and maybe the Travel section.

Yes he has.
He's not said a word.
Press briefings given by White House staff don't count.
I'll give you an analogy:
If Virgin Atlantic cancelled three flights, leaving passengers stranded in Stockholm, and their press officer issues statement saying, "We at Virgin Atlantic are extremely sorry that our customers were inconvenienced." that is NOT Richard Branson apologising.
If upon hearing about his stranded passengers, Sir Richard tweets:
"I would like to personally apologise for this, and we will be making sure that everyone is compensated for the disruption to their travel."
Well, that's Richard Branson apologising.
The two are situations are different.
As we already know, the POTUS is a massive tweeter (I like the way that sounds like a post-modern insult), so it's very odd that he didn't tweet about Quebec.

"Another non-story brought about to whip up hysteria and frothing anger of the gullible"

Quite apart from whether or not the OP is right about this -- be it narrowed to the POTUS tweeting about it, or in some wider context -- there's also more than a whiff of hypocrisy here from his defenders. Or were they not paying attention to the memes doing the rounds about Obama's alleged/ actual non-response to certain violent incidents that apparently didn't fit into his political agenda?
Trump seems to be particularly immune to criticism not because he's innocent but because his supporters are choosing to ignore his many transgressions at every opportunity. Maybe some flaws are exaggerated but they still need exposure and discussion.
Anyway. Trump failed to tweet about this, and he is usually pretty vocal on Twitter. That's a fact. What it means, I don't know, and wouldn't care to speculate. I'm rather more concerned about his "so-called judge" tweet from the last couple of days.

Actually I think most of his flaws are understated. It's pretty obvious that he has no understanding of the consequences of his actions, the role of law courts, the concept of checks and balances, and any idea what his office actually involves doing and how far (and not) his powers extend. It also seems that he has very little idea how diplomacy works, or should. We *know* what he thinks about women, how badly he reacts to criticism or disagreement, how inflated and yet fragile his ego is.
And everyone's bending over backwards to accommodate this. Because, sadly, they have to. He's the President of the most powerful country in the world still. At some point, he needs to realise that comes with responsibility, and he hasn't yet shown that.
But still, I'm trying to be charitable. Not tweeting about something is out of character for Trump but doesn't necessarily mean that he was ignoring the issue.
