what assets? considering how many are on the breadline one wonders what they have left to sell. A Greek friend could explain better than i, but he's not on this site.
as to the Germans in charge, it would seem so, and has
to me for a long while.
Lets teach the how to have a successful Referendum on leaving the EU.
ob

they don't want to leave the EU, doing so would be a basic catastrophe for them.
Tongue in cheek emmie!
The answer is in your line

// "We think it is very, very likely that we will come to an agreement with the International Monetary Fund that does not require a haircut," //

Greece, its creditors and the IMF will come to an agreement that is not too painful for anyone.
the fact remains they need constant bailouts and that comes at huge costs.

Gromit, \\The IMF has called for Greece to be granted substantial debt relief, but this is opposed by Germany, which makes the largest contribution to the budget of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), the euro zone's bailout fund.//

It certainly sounds like the Germans don't want to help the Greeks one bit.
