Can't say I'm thrilled by the knowledge that authorities can spy on me via normal domestic appliances. It is the way to ensure dissidents get rounded up when the government takes even less notice of the people. All there ready and in place for the moment your government swings more authoritarian then they presently are.
Shows it doesn't pay to have any 'internet of things' and "smart" this & that.

The US government is signed up to the 'Vulnerabilities Equities Process', whereby it is pledged to alert technology companies to any security flaws identified in their software or systems, rather than just keeping the knowledge to themselves so that they can exploit any security loopholes.
The 'Vault7' data from Wikileaks shows that the CIA has broken that governmental pledge by 'hoarding' vulnerabilities, leaving major companies and organisations at risk of their systems being attacked by hackers who've discovered those same vulnerabilities.
So, by alerting technology companies to flaws in their systems, Wikileaks is only doing what the US government itself agreed to do in the first place.
