Mikey, do stop calling people racists. It’s not clever. It’s bigoted and short-sighted.
mikey4444 'I call a spade a spade.'

Don't think that's called for.

Don't be racist to shovels. And should you use that term anymore - you will have the PC police after you!

Seriously though your points would have more impact if you didnt name call continually. The word racist is far too overused meaning that when someone actually is there is nothing to call them out with.
I think calling Wilders a racist is a lot closer to the mark than some of the comments here.

He certainly panders to racists.
"The word racist is far too overused meaning that when someone actually is there is nothing to call them out with. "

Another "you don't do irony, do you" moment :-)
I would think there's a fair amount of material in Mr W's case

YMB...I have no problem with calling Wilders a racist....in my opinion, that is exactly what he is.
Mikey, but you call anyone who doesn't agree with you on immigration racist - and that is bigoted in the extreme..
YMB, Just remember the old Chinese advice, from I think "The Art Of War" by Sun Tzu. "Always accuse your enemy of what you are guilty of. You will leave them with no defence strategy". You have to feel that there is a element of that in the constant accusations that are spewed on a daily basis by "some".
That sounds a bit like the strategy employed by Donald "fake news" Trump
It doesn't really work for him, I'd say ...
See. ^^ :))
I think fulminating about "Moroccan scum"is a fair indication of racism.
Indeed kromo, that what I was thinking.
And there's a difference between concern over immigration on the one hand, and this indigenous "identity" politics. Aside from anything else, it's Cnut-like (to defame poor the poor old King) . It's fair to say that Mr W is indeed a Cnut in that respect.
We've gone from people being branded as racist for raising any sort of immigration issue, to accusations of "liberal fascism" when these concerns are questioned for getting out of hand or indeed being exploited. The Netherlands was always unlikely an unlikely candidate as a breeding ground for the further spread of this. As more than one person has pointed out, the USA and Trump is one thing, Brexit and the UK another, and then there is the Netherlands .... very different again. As is Germany, and even France.
Don't get too carried away. Wilders had a big increase in voters and jumped into 2nd place for the first time.
And the Labour Party were annihilated.
In previous elections:
2006 election: 9 seats
2010: PVV goes from 9 to 24 seats out of 150 (3rd largest party and 15% of the vote)
2012: back down to 15 seats and 10% of the vote.
2017: 20 seats and 13%
So while technically they are the second largest party for the first time, that doesn't have huge meaning in a country with such a splintered political scene. In terms of seats and votes they are behind where they were 7 years ago.
So as I said before, their fortunes fluctuate (like other parties).
Even many Moroccans agree with Wilders
https://www.rnw.org/archive/moroccans-agree-wilders-about-violent-moroccan-dutch-youths;
There's no shortage of "Moroccan scum" in Holland.
And where does the word "tulip" come from?
That's right, folks, the Turkish word for "turban" :-)
naomi at 08:32, or they are 'ogres'. Hilarious !!
Your link doesn't work, Khandro.
