First of all, it's not 'their' country. Being the largest indigenous population doesn't give you title deeds and the right to say who worships in their own faith and who doesn't.

And secondly - this is not 'sticking up for their own country' - it is deliverate intimidation against Muslims who wish to build a mosque.

To be clear - if you object to something, then you have a perfect right to make a protest about it, but there are right ways to make your view apparent, and there are wrong ways.

Well, to me the Ahmaddiya muslims are the sort that we can live with. They don't want us to change our Western culture and can happily manage their own religious lives alongside ours. No problem.
I can understand why residents may be alarmed by the construction of a mosque - but in this case it is non-divisive - but they have gone a bit far.

They are described as 'right wing', because liberals, moderates and those on the hard left don't generally object to the building of mosques.

They are described as extremists because the average person would be more likely to register their objection to the construction by lobbying their local council to reject the planning proposal.

Or they might sign a petition.

It is an extreme reaction to go to their local builders' merchants, purchase enough two-by-four to form fifteen giant crosses, transport to a place to put them together, transport the crosses to the site, and then erect the crosses, using a system of levers and pullies.

That's why they have been called 'right wing extremists'.

Because they have done something that right wing extremists do.

You start with blocking religious buildings, you go on to pigs heads left outside mosques and end up with...well, who knows?
