Referring to your first post:
/// They are described as 'right wing', because liberals, moderates and those on the hard left don't generally object to the building of mosques. ///
And it is because of the liberals, moderates and those on the hard left, that we are seeing England change from all recognition, with some towns and cities where the white indigenous population is in the minority, and some areas hardly recognisable from Middle Eastern casbahs.

Leaving aside your somewhat florid description of some area of the UK, you appear to be shifting the emphasis of your debate to - for you - far more familiar ground - it is not the building of mosques that you take exception to, it is all those pesky Muslims who will insist on going to worship in them.

Without one there would be no requirement for the other.

I wouldn't describe aog's description of some areas of the UK as 'florid'. That suggests his description isn't accurate.

I have florid as 'excessively intricate or elaborate'
but florid could mean inaccurate ( hell it is Naomi - so really anything goes ) Have we adquately covered amongst all the botching that the is an ahmaddiyya sect and they are regarded and persecuted as heretics by the other ones ?
doesnt freedom to practise religion mean anything to people nowadays ?

Wow, I never thought of that! Where would I be without you to point these things out to me ...

You never alter do you, after I once again gracefully accepted your peace offer, you couldn't wait to get back into a fight, be with me or someone else, and you then have the barefaced cheek to accuse me of picking fights.
When are the powers that be, going to realise that it is you who is forever spoiling threads, with your pompous and argumentative attitude?
Don't try again to be the perfect English gent by holding out your hand in friendship, because I have been taken in by you so many times, and have now finely learnt my lesson, never to get involved with you again, I have already given you far too many chances.

You should learn to practice what you are forever preaching to others, and that is when you are telling others not to quote what you have never said.
Well let me tell you, don't dare suggest what I have never said, I never said that I take exception to, all those pesky Muslims who will insist on going to worship in them.
Least of all 'PESKY MUSLIMS', that was your own insulting and disgusting description, shame on you.

jourdain2 - //PP I pointed out some pages ago that the Ahmaddiyahhs were peaceable and able to live and work with western society. I can't remember if anyone picked up on it. //
It would be wonderful to think that such subtleties would be even noticed, much less accepted, but on this thread, you've more chance of plaiting fog!

I saw your reference and of course read it in the piece too.
I think what's happened here is the thread turns out to be about how the protesters were described rather than the reason for the protest.
Which I suppose if I had read the title better I would have understood, hey ho - my failing no one else's.
